WE ARE CLOSED (for a while...)
Due to unprecedented demand, we are not undertaking any more repairs for a while. We have a huge backlog, and a lack of storage space.
If you already have items here for repair, do not worry, they are in the queue to be completed.
If you have items for repair, please check back for this notice to be removed in the next few months.
We are still reading all of your email enquiries, but please be aware that we cannot answer every query (please don't be offended!).
Best regards,
Mark

Terms and conditions of repairs and services.
Quotations: Whilst quotes and estimates are intended to be as accurate as possible, the very nature of electronic systems repairs may uncover further, previously unknown faults, which prevent the item from functioning as intended, or as per the acceptance criteria defined below. Perton Electronics retain the right to discontinue a repair if the additional repairs are not technically or commercially viable.
Bench Inspection Fee: Perton Electronics charge a non-refundable £20 fee for exploratory assessment of faulty devices. This is payable in the case of when a repair quote is not accepted, or if the device is not repairable for technical reasons (too badly damaged, or parts not available etc).
Acceptance Criteria:
Where possible, all devices are tested for correct function. Some items cannot be fully tested (eg: loose PCB's, car ECU's, Black boxes etc). These are examined to component level only, and carry no warranty for correct operation in their complete system.
A "complete" or "whole device" is a unit which performs its intended function without connection or interaction with other systems. A complete or whole device is defined as 'repaired' when that device fulfils it's technical output, according to the following common classifications:
Shipping costs: The client assumes all transportation costs and liabilities for damage to and from Perton Electronics.
Obligation to repair: Perton Electronics is not obliged to undertake a repair. Perton Electronics will not pay any costs when a repair is refused. Return shipping is at clients cost.
Limitation of Liability: Claims are limited to the value of the contract (the repair cost). Shipping costs and consequential losses are not accepted.
Website: We accept no liability for errors or omissions on this website. (C)2023 Mark Maher (Trading as Perton Electronics)
